Sweltering campaigns for Spring/Summer '13

Its hard to believe that its time for the S/S campaigns already, but their out and have been bringing a little warmth to my otherwise frostbitten recent days.  After seeing many campaigns i can say without doubt my two top campaigns have to be from Dior (i knew Raf wouldn't disappoint me) and Louis Vuitton who couldn't fail to disappoint with the collection Marc sent out this year.  I also loved the recently re-vamped Saint Laurent's ultra cool campaign and the Prada menswear campaign was also extremely cool mainly down to the fact that it features acting legend Harvey Keitel, both worth a look.

So for S/S '13 Dior brought a us surreal but fresh outlook to a previously lavish and a somewhat 'over the top' approach when Galliano was running things.  A few weeks ago Raf Simons commented that he felt the Dior woman hadn’t yet been immortalised in quite the same way, as say, Chanel’s lady, which i whole heartedly agree with and i hope this is achieved during Raf's time at the house. If the way things have gone since his entrance two seasons ago i definitely see this happening and believe this campaign is the start of that very happening.  The campaign brings the focus back to the clothes and design instead of the 'celebrity' or model wearing them, though minimal the surrealist painting feel about them is new and engaging. Dior is on a new path and i for one will be following them down it every step of the way!

Louis Vuitton's campaign this season has continued the 'two by two' theme from their latest show, grouping models together in a graphic maze of checkerboard for the new season.  The bold monochrome and yellow palette draws me in every time as well as the perfectly preened and placed models pulling you into the kaleidoscope of mesmerising squares. So without anymore wittering from me, here they are please rejoice in their charms.
