Start spreading the news.. [PART ONE]

Where to begin, New York fashion week has again been the spectacular starting pistol for this fashion month that descends on use twice a year (my favourite months in facts) as we get to witness some of the greatest and innovative design our world has to offer! The Autumn/WInter shows from New York this season offered some amazingly executed silhouettes, mixed with carefully placed prints, a massive amount of layering and yes its back again for another season, to add egde to any outfit it is of course leather! There are masses of shows i want to write about but i sadly don't have time (and i'm sure you would get board of my ranting), but after much deliberation and drooling over the collections my decision has been made, so here is part one of my top 8 collections from the big amazing inspiring innovative apple! (sorry about the amount of ad-libs there got a little carried away)

First on my radar is one of my best-loved labels of recent times Creatures of the Wind, i think i would definitely go here first if i had lots of money!  Lots of texture mixing, geometric printing, leather wearing, hip clinging, layer upping (it does work), collar contrasting and general cool being clothes at this show, i think that covered everything?

Now for Charlotte Ronson, beginning in shades of grey with some black in tweed, woollen and mesh fabrics a sudden rush of colour and print head into the mix making for some incredibly desirable dresses, then the leather fest continues in ultra slick navy and black then coming to a conclusion with a blast of white and ending on some more muted pink prints. Overall a extremely cohesive collection with interesting cuts and materials and most importantly very stylish.

Suno it began in stripesthe then show entailed lots of print on print action with lots of intriguing shapes and some amazing jewel encrusted evening pieces to end. I loved the amount of textures and range of fabrics within this collection and the styling was right on point all i can say is bravo!

And finally for now Behnaz Sarafpour apart from the very cool marbled paper back drop, the structured clothes and colour pallet were sensational, if i wanted (could afford) a coat this is where i'd go beautiful, also an amazing steel blue colour runs throughout!
