The Anderson Admiration.

I feel the best way to open the curtain so to speak on this blog is to dedicate this first post to the wonderful Wes Anderson, Anderson is if you don't already know is a magnificent film director/screenwriter and partly began my obsession with style , his films employ a similar aesthetic, employing a deliberate, methodical cinematography, with mostly primary colors. Anderson's films combine dry humor with poignant portrayals of flawed characters, he is also well known for frequently using the same actors in almost all his films even if it is merely a cameo role. His films include most recently although i must shamefully admit i haven't yet seen it Fantastic Mister Fox, The Life Aquatic, The Darjeeling Limited, Bottle Rocket, Rushmore, and the point of this whole post as i am sure by now you are wondering why i bothered The Royal Tenenbaums by far my favorite as it stars Gwyneth Paltrow playing Margot Tenenbaum probably my favorite character in a film ever [although Henry Hill in Goodfellas is pretty cool too].  Anyway i fear this post is getting worse by the letter so i will get to the point and try to improve at a later date after watching this film i'd say 8-12 times in one week [i had just quit college and had no job], the obsession to be as cool as Margot began i cut my long hair which i had been sporting for most of my life, dyed it blonde, used my eyeliner for all it was worth, bought a striped dress [not lacoste sadly] and a trench coat [i couldn't afford fur faux or otherwise], however i didn't stretch to taking up smoking or the wooden finger although i probably would've worn a wooden finger if i could have got hold of one.  However a few years on i am out of this rut but do still have blonde hair and heavy eyeliner usage.  Anyway this is where my fashion cravings began and as i had no other ideas or options such as photograph taking as i am bound inside because of the rain i thought i would start here and will leave you with photographs of my first major style inspiration.
