A Shining Example.

Whist flicking though my new Elle before reading every page in order cover to cover [i know i have issues], i came across a few pages dedicated to graduate fashion week, and even more to my delight came across Thomas Crisp winner of the menswear award, whom i remember being wowed by during the show, however there were so many excellent collections i regrettably forgot to look up my favorites so am making up for it now.  Crisp's collection was mainly based around high shine leathers, combining them with sharp suits and jackets styled with cool scarves, he said the inspiration [as i read in Elle] came from the underground culture of Parisian 18th century street gangs, known as 'the gilded youth'.  Crisp say's his look is for the chic modern man, he also says that his favorite designers are Rick Owens and Raf Simons, i can definitely see a likeness to them both, with the simple understated lines that Simons uses, but the overall look has a more layered Owens-esque feel about it.  I see big things for Crisp watch this space as they say, i did take some rather disastrous shots at the show, blurred, far away you get the idea so i have found some much better ones to share with you courtesy of vogue.com, even some very interesting images of his magnificent sketch book. Enjoy!
