Its now time for 3.1 Phillip Lim, why 3.1? a question i have found myself asking many a time but today my curiousity finally got the better of me and it turns out the reason isn't as glamorous as you or at least i might of thought it is simply that when Lim started his line he was 31 years of age i know i felt slightly disappointed as well hey ho name aside his creative talents were not affected as his latest collection proves. Chic layers describes this collection perfectly, Lim's palette was mainly neutral blush, tan, taupe, sepia and black with a pop of baby blue every so often, if you want the understated cool i've-just-thrown-these-clothes-together look then look no further for inspiration this is the collection for you.
Diane Von Furstenburg, a volcanic explosion of fascinating prints of course i would not expect anything less, the way the outfits have been styled is unbelievably impeccable i cannot fault this collection i was surprised how much i liked it in fact, i'm sure anyone could fall in love with these clothes, the collection is a mish mash of bold, graphic prints, involving Greek keys, waves, clouds, sunbursts everything you could ever want, i don't want to use the phrase 'clashing prints' but there is no other way to word it,although the thing is they didn't clash as such, but more they seemed to melt into each other and just match to create killer outfits. I don't think contributing any more words will prepare you for the forth coming spetical so all that is left to do is show you the main event, and to thank New York for being truly wonderful and inspiring. London is next on my i'm-barely-scratching-the-surface tour.
