Stockholm's Super Selection!

So the time has eventually come for my post on Stockholm fashion week.  And without further dithering i will dive straight in and begin with one of the most refreshing collections i have personally seen in a long time and it comes from Ida Sjöstedt, she describes her design's as tongue-in-cheek elegance and creates clothes for women who don't take dressing up to seriously and who see fashion as fun rather than a must.  Which is exactly what comes though in her newest collection, i find it so refreshing to see something that is just creative and fun rather than something that is trying to make a statement or another collection with the same trends as the last, i do however also realise the last two things i mentioned are extremely important to fashion as well.  So instead of going on with myself i will just show you the goods as i think they speak for themselves.  There is also a stunning set to accompany the clothes...

My next splendid subject will be The Local Firm a very Swedish label what i mean by that is, they use that very Scandinavian clean cut, minimal design in they're collections.
Their concept is inspired by art, architecture and design from the former east-block.  All the collections clearly show their inspiration and none more than the latest, which is mainly made up of basic colours such as black's, grey's, beige's and brown's but don't be fooled, the simplicity is a stroke of genius in these recently heavily patterned predictably floral summers. So here we go again another glimpse of a collection for you to swoon over.

And so we come to Whyred, established on the style values of the modernist and with the design philosophy; “Clean living under difficult circumstances” i really can't say much more to describe this amazing label apart from every single thing in the s/s 11 collection anyone could more than happily wear and look really really cool. I will leave it there and leave it to you to look at the collection and come to your own conclusion.  I'm not good at summing up so i will quote dazeddigital.com as i can't think of anything more fitting: 'All in all, this was another stellar outing for Scandinavian fashion.'
