And so it has begun New York fashion week commenced a few days back and i am filled with excitement and i can not possibly wait until the photographs from the shows begin trickling onto the internet day by day, so this season i'm taking action and thanking the gods for technology and the designers who consider us mere mortals, by live streaming their shows for the good of our mental health/ inpatients to wait. So out of the goodness of my heart [and also for my own personal benefit] i have been foraging the web for all the shows that will be streaming live just for you, and me! The most generous website i have found is firstcomesfashion.com who are streaming over 15 shows [including Cynthia Rowley,Oscar de la Renta, and Anna Sui among others], plus backstage and postshow coverage of many more shows such as Rag and Bone, although i will say, that so far the stream has not worked for me live yet, i just get this message 'coverage of this show will start shortly' so i have been watching the videos a few hours later but still you can't complain this is probably the result of my crap internet connection anyway, so it may work for you. After this discovery, the search gets harder as it is mainly just random searching of labels streaming on their websites, i did have a good few finds however, one of these being Mercedes Benz Fashion Week website who are streaming a few shows and tell you where you can see others if you click digtal when you get onto the website it gives you a list of the shows they will be streaming and when, it may sound obvious but it took me a while to work it out. A few random ones are Marc Jacobs who is streaming both his shows on his website that is, Marc Jacobs collection Monday 13th September at 8pm and Marc by Marc Jacobs Tusday September 14th at 4pm, and also Betsey Johnson will be streaming on her website which will also include pre and post show coverage on Monday 13th September at 6pm. My last discovery for now is the streaming of some shows held at the Milk Made Studios, they will be streamed 15 minutes after they happen on the Milk Made website i think this is the best place to be [well at least for me] because they're covering some of my favourites [also i think the website is super cool] such as Erin Fetherston, Preen and the one and only Peter Som who's show i have not yet seen [it was on at 9am yesterday] so i am off to watch it now . I will make a list under this post as, when and if i come across news of any other generous live stream websites so stay tuned, and in the meantime take your front row seat wearing anything you like i suggest pajamas or some kind of amazing outfit you may wear if you were actually at New York Fashion week, enjoy yourselves!
